FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask before they engage us.
How much does a buyer's agent cost in Perth?
We charge a fixed fee regardless of the purchase price, so our only incentive is finding you the right property, not the most expensive one. There is no percentage of sale and no hidden commissions from sellers or agents. We walk you through the exact fee structure on your discovery call, so there are no surprises before you commit.
Is a buyer's agent worth it in Perth?
Most Edge clients are settled in eight to ten weeks, compared to the nine months it typically takes buyers searching on their own. On average our clients pay well below asking price because we handle the search, negotiation and settlement personally rather than reacting to what a selling agent presents. For time-poor buyers, interstate buyers, and anyone who has been burned by a poor purchase before, that guidance is often the difference between a good decision and a costly one.
What is the difference between a buyer's agent and a real estate agent?
A real estate agent represents the seller and is legally working to secure the seller the highest possible price. We act exclusively for buyers and never take a commission from a seller, so there is no conflict of interest in what we recommend. Our role is to search, assess, negotiate and manage settlement entirely on your behalf.
Can a buyer's agent help if I live interstate or overseas?
Yes. We act as your eyes and ears on the ground in Perth, personally inspecting every property before you commit to it. We never ask a client to buy a property sight unseen, regardless of distance or timeline, and we coordinate building inspections, settlement and handover so you are not managing the process remotely on your own.
How long does it take to buy a property with a buyer's agent?
Most Edge clients are settled within eight to ten weeks of engaging us. Timelines vary depending on the strategy, budget and how competitive the target suburbs are, but our search is focused and structured from the first discovery call, so time is rarely lost to indecision or a broad, unfocused search.
Can a buyer's agent help FIFO workers who are often away?
Yes, this is one of the situations we support most often. We conduct inspections, manage communication with agents, and coordinate paperwork and settlement around roster schedules, so a swing away from Perth does not mean missing out on the right property. Everything is managed so you can make decisions from wherever you are rostered on.
Do buyer's agents help medical professionals with limited time?
Yes. Medical professionals are often working long or unpredictable hours and do not have time to attend weekend home opens or chase agents during business hours. We manage the entire search and negotiation process and bring you a shortlist of properties that already match your brief, so your time is spent on the decision, not the search.
Is Edge Property Solutions a good fit for first home buyers?
Yes. First home buyers are often the ones who benefit most from guidance, since it is common to be unsure where to start with searching, negotiating and settlement. We educate you through each step of the process, not just complete transactions on your behalf, so you understand the market and feel confident in the decision you are making.
Do buyer's agents only work with luxury properties?
No. We work across a wide range of budgets and strategies, from first homes and owner-occupier purchases to investment-grade properties for a range of goals. Our process is the same regardless of price point: understand your brief, search and assess, negotiate, and protect your interests through to settlement.
